This week's challenge is to use the tangle 'Bales' every which way you can.
I found this somewhat challenging - trying to think of a novel way of using Bales. I did this a couple of nights ago and was in two minds whether to keep going - in the end I felt that in this instance less is more.
thanks for your visit :)

Citrus
I only took a blue gel pen with me and I shaded using a similar blue water colour pencil from Stampin Up.
I had fun with this one, tried all sorts of different looks by playing with photo editing. My fave is the 3rd one with the gold/olive colouring.
I hope you like them :) thanks for coming by :)

Adventures In Monotangles with Roy Stauffer mindful-creations.blogspot.com.au/
This week Roy's pick is to use Fengle - I enjoyed doing this one and surprisingly didn't take me long to do.
It was nice to revisit this tangle as I hardly use it. The string for this is Tangle Pattern String #50 by Zentangle co-founder Maria Thomas. (I disregarded the loops :)
thanks for looking - your comments are most welcome

Weekly Challenge #118 (Kooky) Kuke
This week with the Diva we have a 'use my tangle' challenge - this one is a tangle by Katy Abbot, CZT called 'Kuke' because it looks like a slice of cucumber :)
I had a little chuckle when I read that this week was to use Kuke, as I had just the page in mind. You see, I loved this pattern as soon as I saw it. A few weeks ago. I made a couple of ATCs without a glitch, then when I started on a new page, I drew the 'blossom' or centre bit back to front, and therefore it sure did not look like a slice of cucumber - no chance! so I left it at that.
So, this time, it was fitting to go back to that page - the 'Kooky' 'Kuke' is now a focal point (it's the flower, towards the bottom of the page).
Many of you probably know that I can't bear to throw away any of my works, even if I have made a boo boo - eventually I go back to it with fresh eyes and continue on.
This is the result - thanks for looking :)

HI-CS
I've run out of time and have missed the deadline (I had finished this last night but it was getting very late to be uploaded) Oh well, nevermind :)
I do find these Monotangle Adventures quite challenging. I haven't seen what others have done yet - I never know whether you can add patterns within the nominated tangle.
If you have time please visit Roy's Blog mindful-creations.blogspot.com.au/ to see other interpretations.
I decided on an oval shape as I felt Hi-Cs lent itself to dimension and depth... I added some shading - could be better
I can see Adventure #11 Fengle is up and running - can't wait, haven't visited Fengle in a long while.
Oh, another thing - can you see 'Kuke' in the background? lol I have a couple of pieces going at the same time. Didn't realise when taking the pic that it had come through the page :)
thank you for your visit

Dotle gardenscene
I had this idea to do a garden scene using painted dots - I started with the coloured dots and I wanted to use some green, but, alas, the green just wouldn't come out so I undid the top, picked up a toothpick and drew green for some leaves. So it went on from there, then came the basket,, some zingers, floatfest and then I was stuck in a dilema, to backfill or not, to colour or not. So, I did both - it is busy but sometimes I like the busy look.
thanks for your visit :)

At the Dinner Table
I started with the dots, left to dry, finished off my Zendala Dares # 57 and came back to my page - and here is the result - quite pretty and delicate I think - to me it reminds me of people around a table having their dinner - perhaps royalty :) tfl
Zendala Dare #55b
I forgot I hadn't posted this one from 2 weeks ago - I really like this template
