Weekly Challenge #149: "Twenty-Fourteen"

I didn't think I would make it in time for this week's challenge with Laura over at http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com.au/ but I found some time this evening.  I had nothing in mind other than '2014' so just went with the flow.  A part of me wanted to add colour, the other part didn't -  I did scan it before I added shading, in case I ever felt like going back for colour.

I have been busy doing step-outs for another 3 patterns which I have sent to Linda over at http://tanglepatterns.com/ for her consideration.  I know she is very busy but will publish here soon in any case.
