Weekly Challenge #203: "UMT - Athitzi by Seven"
We had a blackout this afternoon so I did some tangling. Not so sure if it looks like 'Athitzi' as I only tangled half of the petals. I used a brown Micron and added some shading.

New Pattern - Madeline (another take on Maddie)
This is the 3rd time I've come back to my pattern 'Maddie' and I'm not even sure why I did. All I know is I was drawing ovals and the next thing you know I was drawing circles. It's a nice pattern as a background fill and even as an ad hoc pattern (which would be like 'Maddie 2)
Fill as desired and there is no need for the circles to be perfect.
Please feel free to try it out - Happy Tangling :)

I'm playing catch up this week as I didn't post last week's challenge #201, but first here is my entry for Challenge #201
Weekly Challenge #201: "Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day 2015"
played some more
This week's challenge #202 is a Duo Tangle using Margaret Bremner's tangles Chebucto and Copada - I used a Renaissance tile
I have been busy of late making 'Love' cards for Valentines' Day
and a few ad hoc cards
This one for Australia Day which is celebrated on 26th January
Aussie, Aussie, Aussie - Oi, Oi, Oi!! (my daughter and I)
The next two for the two colours/two patterns challenge for the Aussie Zentanglers Facebook Group
My try at Sandra Strait's 'Bleedthrumonade' technique
Some entries for the Square One: Purely Zentangle Facebook Group
BB
Nzeppel
Rixty
XYP
.... and some just for fun - the one below is shaky as I drew it whilst travelling in the car on the way to the Cricket on Australia Day
tried out Arcodos by CZT Lianne Woods
nothing in particular
oh and I nearly forgot, I tangled my canvas shoes
That's it for me - I hope you find some inspiration - thank you for your visit.
Enjoy the rest of your week and hope our friends in the North are safe and well.
P.S I post a lot on Instagram now :)

Weekly Challenge #200: "Bi-Zen-Tennial Celebration!" for Laura AND for me!
Challenge #200 for the Diva - now that is real dedication. I may not participate every week, but I sure have done my share :)
Let's see, my first challenge that I posted an entry was back in 2012 - It was Challenge #70 Colour me Sepia
I was hesitant at first and 'watched' for about 3 weeks, then I decided that the following week was going to be my first dip in. Well, low and behold, the challenge was to use the colour Sepia!, now what do I do, I had no Sepia pens - but.... I found some paints that I had bought for my granddaughter for when she would visit me - they were in little bottles with a spongy top - much like a bingo marker, so I used the brown one.
I started tangling the day after Christmas in 2011. I already had a Flickr account and I did a search on 'Zentangles' and found heaps of beautiful artworks - through Flickr I came across some entries for the Weekly Challenge with the Diva (Laura Harms).
Hasn't she done an amazing job - keeping up with her blog and setting up all these wonderful challenges for us! Thanks Laura - your a gem! Happy 200th Challenge - and here's to 2,000 more!! hip! hip! hooray!
This is 'Smiley' my first entry that I had posted with the Diva Challenges.
I don't think I posted the following works - here I used some brown ink - some leftover I found from my Calligraphy days - I just used a paddle pop stick and a brush to spread the ink.
And to highlight Challenge #200 I did this bright piece. Tangles used are my 'Poppie-Love' and 'Loop-de-loop'
.......... and you know an interesting thing happened... I posted this on Instagram and I realised that I reached 200 followers! what a coincidence! So this ZIA is for Laura and for me :)
Have a lovely week everyone! and a big thank you for your visit and for your beautiful comments - much appreciated.

New Patterns Castle-rock and Trapt - 1,2 and 3
I was working on the '100 Mandala' challenge and the next thing you know 'Trapt 1' was born. Whilst working on the Mandala I thought of other ways in which this pattern could be drawn. I played some more and came out with 3 different versions. Castle-rock also came about in this process, however I felt it was different enough that it warranted its own special name. I figured if you drew the pattern one way, it reminded me of a space rocket, and accidently I turned it upside down and saw castles, hence the name.
Something you probably don't know about me is I'm and analyser, in fact I over analyse almost every situation. I think I've figured out why I chose those names, but if I tell you it would give away too much personal information :)
I hope you like these patterns and find some time to try them for yourself - I would love to see your interpretation on them.
The Mandala that had my mind working
Same Mandala - coloured in with Sienna and Green/Gold by Faber-Castell (the pic didn't take too well, sorry)
TRAPT 1
Basically it's just the letter 'H' joined by a line
Castle-rock - when drawn from top to bottom it reminds me of a rocket but when drawn from bottom to top it reminded me of a castle. Note: the lines in the middle of the 'H' have a slight curve, one curve going up and the other curve is going down.
In my sample piece you can see the castle and rockets.
and just for fun here are two more Mandalas, (not perfectly round as its hand drawn) also drawn for the '100 Mandala' challenge.
I hope you find some inspiration from this post - keep smiling :)

TRAPT 2 - this is your basic 'H; pattern working from top to bottom. The variation is a slanted 'H'
TRAPT 3 - is drawn in a grid
Castle-rock - when drawn from top to bottom it reminds me of a rocket but when drawn from bottom to top it reminded me of a castle. Note: the lines in the middle of the 'H' have a slight curve, one curve going up and the other curve is going down.

Weekly Challenge #199: "UMT: Hitch by HeidiSue" - 2nd entry
For my second entry I started off with a circle in the middle then drawing 'arms' radiating from a small circle. I also left out a part of 'Hitch' by not joining the lines from the diamond shape. I added other patterns as I saw fit, not spending too much time in deciding which patterns work together. I felt like adding some colour, and shading.
I hope you like it, I'm really taking a liking to this pattern - thanks Heidi and Laura - I'm having lots of fun with it.
Thanks to all for your visit and for all the lovely comments - much appreciated :) I hope to have some time to check out all the other entries.
