Orthodox Easter
Today we celebrate Orthodox Easter - I decorated some cute white card boxes by spraying ink over a stencil and filled them with traditional red dyed eggs, which I will give to my friends and family.
Here's a short spiel I found on the net -
Many Orthodox Christians in Australia celebrate Pascha according to the Easter date in the Julian calendar. Easter is the most important event in the church calendar. The Easter Sunday church liturgies are joyous as they celebrate Jesus Christ’s resurrection, according to Christian belief, as well as spiritual victory.
Many Orthodox Christians in Australia fast during Lent prior to Easter. Easter Sunday is a time for families and friends to get together for a festive meal, where meat and dairy products can be eaten again.
Traditional Easter egg games are also popular. Each person takes a dyed red egg and tries to crack other challengers’ eggs. This game symbolizes Jesus Christ breaking from his tomb. The person whose egg lasts the longest is assured good luck for the rest of the year. Some people bring dyed Easter eggs to church to be blessed at the Easter liturgy.
Blessings my friends :)

Weekly Challenge #116 Blind Sighted
My 2nd entry for this week's Diva Challenge - an interesting outcome. I really didn't put a lot of thought into this and if you look closely the 'blanket' effect in the centre is very haphazardly done hehe :) but I never bin anything - remember, no mistakes, only opportunities :)
Thank you for your visit :) I will definitely view other entries this week :)
Thank you all so kindly for commenting on Challenge # 115.

Started this one on my lunch break - blue gel pen. Wasn't too impressed, however I think the yellow rays add some interest.
Thanks for looking :)

Weekly Challenge #115: "Amanda Day - or Earth Day"
I went to the Doctor's today for a test. Little did I know I was to be there for 2 hours. I usually take my bag with me, this time I only took my keys and wallet - the receptionist kindly gave me a piece of paper and a pen. I decided on another ZIA for 'Amanda Day - or Earth Day ( http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com.au/) Here is the result - the first is the original version, I scanned and printed it and coloured the other with markers. Thanks for your visit :)

ANZAC Day 25 April - 'Lest We Forget'
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand
that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who
served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and
"the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".
They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We shall remember them,
Lest We Forget
A ZIA I did back on remembrance day November 2012 revisited for ANZAC Day

Weekly Challenge #115 Earth Day
Here is my entry to this week's Challenge 'Amanda Day or Earth Day'
I had a couple of ideas and settled for this one. I used the sphere template by Margaret Bremner (enthusiasticartist.blogspot.ca/2013/04/others-spheres.html) as all I could think of was the world globe. I wasn't sure what tangle to use for the background as I didn't want to lose the piece in the background, so did a simple aura.
To see what others' have done go here iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com.au/
Thank you for looking - comments are most welcome :)
